Man Stabbed After Being Confronted For Change

On Sunday July 1st,  2018 at approximately 4:20 PM, Syracuse Police Officers responded to  the 700 block of Lodi Street in regards to a stabbing call.  Upon  arrival, Officers met with a 46 year old male, who was suffering from a  stab wound to his lower back area.  The victim was  transported to Upstate University Hospital for treatment.  His injury  is not life threatening.

The victim stated that he was in the 700 block of Butternut Street at  approximately 2:00 AM, when he was confronted by a Hispanic  male in his 20’s-30’s.  The male asked for change, and a dispute  ensued. The victim was stabbed in the lower back during this incident.   The victim did not report this incident to Police until this  afternoon.  There is no additional suspect description available.
