Hurley, N.Y. - A former "Law and Order: SVU" actress is trying to take John Faso's seat in Congress.
Diane Neal best known for her role as District Attorney Casey Novak on the NBC drama announced her run for New York's 19th Congressional District. The seat is currently represented by Republican John Faso. She's a registered Democrat from Virginia who's lived in the Ulster County town of Hurley for years.
Neal is collecting petitions to run as an Independent candidate in November.
