Taste of Success - Celebrity Chef Challenge is a unique culinary and networking experience. Event attendees enjoy an evening of socializing, networking and supporting Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection (HW-SC), while tasting delicious recipes created by professional chefs from Wegmans Food Markets as well as enjoying exceptional wine and beer tastings.
This year, the Taste of Success Celebrity Chef Challenge will be held at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College on May 23, 2018. Ten chef teams will be in attendance, including Stephen Baldwin, actor, producer and author!
Other local celebrities include: Matt Mulcahy & Victoria Carmen, Jaime Alicea, Vicki Brackens, Dr. John Fatti, Joe Convertino, Jr., Victoria Coit & Vanessa Campbell, Jeff Knauss, and Rita Paniagua.
Attendees will enjoy tasting dishes expertly prepared by Wegmans' top-notch culinary team and celebrity chefs, who will be vying for the title of "TOP CHEF (fundraising) honors!" This one-of-a-kind dining adventure includes music by the Ronnie Leigh Trio, fine wine tastings, delicious local craft brews, a "selfie" photo area, and the always anticipated Mystery Wine Pull!
Who will you help?
Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection, a 501c3 charitable organization in Syracuse, works with over 1,200 youth in the Syracuse City School District, from grades 7-12, to help them graduate high school and prepare for college or the workplace. Students in HW-SC receive 24/7 support such as: long-term mentoring, year-round academic and enrichment supports, job training, part-time work experience and much, much more. And this program works - at the end of the 2016-17 academic year, 97% of youth in the HW-SC program graduated!
