Albany, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo is applauding Dick's Sporting Goods' decision to quit selling assault-style rifles.
Yesterday he said the company founded in Binghamton is taking a principled stand and setting an example of responsible corporate leadership. The CEO of Dick's, Edward Stack, said this move is a response to the school shooting in Parkland, Florida.
The sports retail giant is also ending sales of high-capacity magazines, and will no longer sell any type of gun to anyone under the age of 21.
