Syracuse, N.Y. - Funeral services have been announced for longtime State Supreme Court Justice James Tormey the third.
He passed away over the weekend after a brief illness. A wake for the 68-year-old will be Wednesday from four until seven p-m at the Thomas J Pirro Funeral Home in Liverpool. Tormey's funeral is scheduled for Thursday morning at Most Holy Rosary Church on Roberts Avenue in Syracuse.
Tormey oversaw 300 judges and the courts in most of Central New York for nearly 20 years.
