Central New York Bracing For Winter Storm

Syracuse, N.Y. - Folks across Central New York will be getting ready for what's expected to be a big winter storm.

"This could be the biggest winter storm of the season," says Accuweather Meteorologist Bill Daeger. "Expect blizzard conditions late Saturday night, travel will be extremely difficult and dangerous." Daeger says to expect a foot of snow to fall everywhere in CNY, with some areas dealing with close to two feet of snow by the end of the Day on Sunday.

Once the flakes stop flying, bitter cold is expected to settle in across the region. Then, on Monday expect some Lake Effect Snow to add a couple more inches in some spots.

Governor Cuomo says state agencies are ready to help in case of any emergencies.
