Snow began overnight that will dump between three and six inches of snow on the area. It will begin tapering off mid-morning and should stop around lunchtime. The commute home looks clear.
Then tonight more snow is expected, largely Lake Effect, as temperatures plummet. Expect another few inches. AccuWeather says the reel-feel temperature will be at zero or below.
Looking a head to the weekend: Saturday will be dry; sunny to start with clouds increasing through the day. Sunday should bring a few snow showers, otherwise it will be cloudy.
CNY is in the midst of a Winter Weather Advisory. The National Weather Service issued the advisory to expire at 12:00 p.m. Thursday for Onondaga, Madison, and southern Cayuga counties. An advisory for Oswego and Northern Cayuga counties is set to expire at 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
