Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon is issuing a travel advisory for Friday.
The advisory does not restrict travel but it is a warning that the roads will be dangerous. Drivers should slow down, plan extra time to get to where they are going, and remain behind plows. Also be sure to move over for disabled and dangerous vehicles.
AccuWeather meteorologist Bill Daeger says that we may be dealing with snowfall higher than two inches an hour.
The National Weather Service is issuing a Winter Storm Warning for the region until midnight. Visibility will be minimal at that rate.
Snowfall totals are expected to exceed a foot by tonight.
