High Winds Knock Out Power To Thousands In CNY

More than 13,000 National Grid customers in Onondaga, Oswego, and Madison Counties are without power this morning.

As of 8:22 a.m

Onondaga County: 4,029 customers without power

Oswego County: 5,445 customers without power

Madison County: 2,260 customers without power

The major outages are concentrated in the area of Bridgeport, Kirkville and Chittenango .

In Oswego County, those west of the river in the city Oswego continuing along the Route 104 corridor in the town are without power. In the Town of Mexico there is an expansive outage.

High winds overnight blew down power lines. Crews were delayed in getting out by the high winds in some areas of the region. Crews are out working but power may not be restores to everyone until later this afternoon.

In Cayuga County, they have issued a Travel Advisory this morning. NYSEG is reporting more than 1,000 customers are without power.

A State of Emergency has been declared in Oneida County due to Flooding.

Baldwinsville, Liverpool, and North Syracuse are among the schools on a 2-hour delay.
