The Top 5 Things You Need To Know Today - 5/23/18

1)

SINGAPORE SUMMIT MIGHT BE DELAYED, MIGHT NOT HAPPEN AT ALL

Still scheduled, but the June 12th meeting between President Trump and Kim Jong-un is in jeopardy. North Korea is evidently unhappy about POTUS dictating the terms.

2)

THE "TAXI KING" IS GONNA SING LIKE THE LEAD IN "PRINCE IGOR"

Evgeny Friedman -- that name sounds kinda Russian, da? -- has cut a deal to cooperate, testify, and stay out of prison. He's a buddy of Mr. Trump's attorney/fixer Michael Cohen, and he knows everything. (By the way, "Prince Igor" is a noted Russian opera. You're welcome...)

3)

SERIOUSLY? IS THIS GUY EVER GONNA LEAVE THE HOUSE?

Michael Rotundo of Camillus, age 30, is defying a NY State Supreme Court order to leave his parents' home, continuing to live there while he appeals the eviction. His folks have tried just about everything to pry him loose. Dude, get a life...

4)

ROBERT MORGAN MIGHT HAVE EVEN MORE EXPLAINING TO DO

Rochester-based developer/owner of various properties in CNY is being investigated, now his son, nephew, and two associates are looking at Federal charges: bank fraud, wire fraud, etc. We're assuming Mr. Morgan has already retained a pretty good attorney.

5)

WE HAVE A NEW NYS ATTORNEY GENERAL (FOR THE TIME BEING)

Lots of folks were interested, but Barbara Underwood gets the nod from state lawmakers. She's proud to have the job, but insists she will not run when the AG post comes up for election in November.
