Bill O'Reilly is saying goodbye to Fox News while claiming the reasons for his ouster are "completely unfounded."
O'Reilly issued his statement yesterday after Fox News' parent company 21st Century Fox announced it's cutting ties with the host over the fallout from sexual harassment allegations.
O'Reilly said he was extremely proud to have launched and led "The O'Reilly Factor," a program he called one of the most successful news programs in history.
He said he was disheartened to part ways "due to completely unfounded claims," but that people in the public eye have to live with that reality.
He thanked his viewers and wished Fox News Channel "only the best."
