Joe Nicoletti is officially joining this year's race for Syracuse mayor.
Rumors that the city government veteran would be running for the position for the fifth time were finally confirmed yesterday in a YouTube video.
Nicoletti says poverty and neighborhood revitalization are his main focus.
Nicoletti joins an already crowded field seeking the Democrat nomination to replace Mayor Stephanie Miner.
In the field already for their party's nomination is City-Auditor Marty Masterpoll, Miner Staffer Alex Maxwell, and perennial political hopeful and Miner critic Alfonso Davis.
