Three Arrested For 'Rye Day' Mass Shooting That Claimed Teen's Life

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police have made arrests in connection to the Rye Day Mass Shooting last month that claimed the life of a teenager.

Onondaga County Prosecutors say that 18-year-old Handsome Rice and Devar Williiams are facing murder charges and Eric Williams is facing attempted murder charges in connection to the violence that erupted at the Near West Side Party June 20th.

Hundreds of people were at that party when investigators say members of rival gangs began fighting. 17-year-old Chariel Osorio died after being shot. Eight other people have been release from the hospital.

Investigators say it is possible that Osorio was shot trying to break-up the gang fight.
