The Syracuse University football team is gearing up to kick off their season with a challenging match against the 24th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers. The game will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of the Aflac Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This marks the second year under head coach Fran Brown, and both excitement and expectations are high for the Orange.

The game is set to begin at noon on Saturday (August 30) and will be broadcast nationally on ABC. Veteran broadcaster Bob Wischusen will handle play-by-play duties, with Louis Riddick as the analyst and Kris Budden reporting from the sidelines. The Orange, who finished last season with a 10-3 record, face a tough opponent in Tennessee, who also went 10-3 and reached the 12-team College Football Playoff last year.

Despite being considered a large underdog, Syracuse is looking to make a strong start to their season. For fans unable to watch on TV, ESPN Radio will also cover the game, featuring Marc Kestecher, Kelly Stouffer, and Ian Fitzsimmons.
