An investigation is underway into the suspicious death of 58-year-old Christa Baxter in Clay. State Police discovered Baxter's body inside a home on Marlin Drive early in the morning on July 3. Troopers responded to the residence following a call for medical assistance. Upon arrival, they deemed the circumstances of Baxter's death suspicious and launched an investigation.
According to Trooper Jennifer Jiron, a spokesperson for the State Police, the details surrounding Baxter's death remain under investigation.
