Syracuse Opens City Pools Starting June 18th

Syracuse, N.Y. - Just in time for the heat, Syracuse is opening up the city pools.

The outdoor pools will be opened on a rolling basis starting Tuesday June 18th with Schiller Park.

Then pools will open as follows:

  • Wednesday, June 19: Kirk Park Pool
  • · Thursday, June 20: Upper Onondaga Park Pool
  • · Friday, June 21: Thornden Park Pool
  • · Sunday, June 23: Lincoln Park Pool
  • · Monday, June 24: McKinley Park Pool
  • · Tuesday, June 25: Burnet Park Pool
  • · Sunday, June 30: Wilson Park Pool

The pools will operate Monday - Saturday, 12 to 6 p.m. and Sundays, 1 to 6 p.m.

However, Monday – Friday hours, between Tuesday, June 18 and Tuesday, June 25, for open pools, will operate from 3 to 6 p.m. as the Syracuse City School District school year comes to a close.

All pool hours are subject to change throughout the summer based on staffing and pool needs/requirements.

Admission to open swim is free of charge for everyone. The pools will operate on a first-come, first-serve system when pool capacities are reached.
