Two Arrests Made In Murder Of 11 Year Old Syracuse Girl

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police have arrested two people and charged them in the murder of an 11 year old Syracuse girl.

20 year old Dahviere Griswold, 18 year old Rasean Patterson, were arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with second degree murder and attempted murder along with criminal possession of a weapon in the death of Brexialee Torres- Ortiz was shot in a drive by shooting 10 days ago.

Syracuse Police Chief Joe Cecile said there is a third suspect, who is known and is not at large. The third suspect they say is a 16-year-old who lives in a juvenile home in N.Y.

Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick said the 16 year old was on a furlough from the home the night the girl was murdered.

Brexi was gunned down as she was returning home from getting milk at the corner store. Calling hours are today, Thursday 3 to 6 at Tucker Missionary Baptist Church on Oakwood Avenue. The funeral Friday morning at the same church starting at 11.
