SYSCO Foods On Strike, Affecting Restaurants, Schools, Hospitals, And More

Warners, N.Y. - First it was COVID then supply chain issues now, restaurants, schools, colleges, hospitals and nursing homes in Central New York are dealing with a strike by SYSCO foods.

More than 200 Sysco Teamsters at Local 317 in Syracuse, walked off the job to protest unfair labor practices.

The strike which started last night includes drivers and warehouse workers and is effecting many already.

Sysco serves more than half the restaurants in Central New York.

Their distribution center is located in Warners.
