15 Year Old Arrested After Syracuse Police Find Firearm In Fannypack

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police have arrested a 15 year old on gun and drug charges.

Last night around 8:30 officers saw a suspicious person who appeared to be armed. As they approached the teen he ran. As they chased him on Richmond Avenue, the teen threw a fanny pack onto the roof of a house.

After he was caught, police found a loaded untraceable handgun inside the pack, along with drugs.

During the investigation several bystanders became aggressive, shouting insults and threats and two, 28 year old Christopher Alvarado and 18 year old Merrick Correa were arrested after physically fighting with the officers.

The 15-year-old boy is now at Hillbrook faces several charges.
