Man Arrested After Leading Police On A Chase And Two Car Jackings

Syracuse, N. Y. - A wild chase Tuesday night involving several police agencies and covering a lot of ground:

State Troopers tried to stop 40 year old Kahari Thomas on the Thruway near 81 but he lead them on a chase into Syracuse. Several agencies got involved including AIR 1.

Thomas car jacked a vehicle on Grant Blvd, injuring one person. He then crashed into another vehicle and waving A knife forced the occupants of the vehicle and stole it.

Onondaga County Deputies finally deployed stop sticks in the Manlius area and the vehicle eventually became disabled and Thomas was taken into custody.

Thomas was arrested and booked for Robbery in the First Degree, Robbery in the Second Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, and two counts of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
