State Senator Patty Richie Will Retire At End Of The Year

Syracuse, N.Y. - Another New York politician announces they will not run for re-election.

Republican New York State Senator Patty Richie says she is retiring at the end of the year.

Richie has represented the 48th district that includes St. Lawrence, Jefferson, Oswego Counties, and Fort Drum for 11 years.

She said she's looking forward to spending more time with her family after spending 36 years in public service.
