Onondaga County COVID Numbers Heading Down, Mandates Should Be Lifted

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon providing some good news today.

There were just 49 new Covid-19 cases reported today, 187 active cases. We now have 114 residents in the hospital and 16 in the ICU. Just one death reported that was in a nursing home according to the state.

McMahon said with cases and hospitalizations drastically decreasing and no metrics given for mandates, he said the state needs to remove the mask mandates for schools.

Let school districts work with their communities on masking McMahon stated.
