Oneonta Man Dies After Slamming Into The Back Of Another Car

Town of Westmoreland, N.Y. - Oneida County Sheriff’s say one man is dead after a car crash last night

Around 11:30 on Route 365 in the Town of Westmoreland, Deputies say 20 year old Joshua Parker of Utica started having car trouble.

He put on his 4 way flashers and continued on 365 trying to get to a Sav-On gas station, when he was struck from behind by a car driven by 40 year old Lance Johnson of Oneonta.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. Parker was transported to hospital for nonlife threatening injuries.

Intoxication does not appear to be a factor.
