Syracuse Police Arrest Man Who Robbed Coffee Shop

Syracuse, N.Y. - Police have arrested a man who robbed a coffee shop

Last night around 8:30 police responded to Recess Coffee, at Harvard Place. Police were told a man, later identified as Timothy Montone, entered the business, displayed a knife, and demanded money. He then left.

Officers found Montone who was uncooperative. He threatened to kill everyone on the scene and threatened suicide by cop. At one point during the exchange, Montone pulled out his knife and as he went to hand it to an Officer he was tackled to the ground and cuffed.

Montone​ was charged with Robbery in the First Degree, Petit Larceny, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. ​
