Man Charged With Having Contraband In Onondaga County Jail

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Sheriff’s say a prisoner at the County Jail has been arrested for contraband.

33 year old Jamall McLaurin of Syracuse, was charged with the felony of promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

McLaurin is accused of possessing 4 golf ball size latex balloons containing 77 Suboxone strips, 50 Oxycodone pills and a small amount of tobacco/marijuana.

Deputies found the contraband when McLaurin discarded the balloons near another inmate.
