Man Arrested Following Suspicious Liverpool Townhome Fire

UPDATE: Onondaga County Fire Investigators have determined that the fire was intentionally started and Sheriff’s Detectives have charged Faes with arson in the 2nd degree.

Syracuse, N.Y. - A man is out of the Hospital, but is in police custody, following an overnight fire in Liverpool.

Fire Investigators say that a fire at a Shallowcreek Road townhome is suspicious. Nicholas Faes was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. He was arrested after being released from the hospital. Deputies say that Faes violated a stay-away order of protection.

A neighboring townhome was also damaged by the fire.
