The State Education Department says the governor's office and state Department of Health are still working on COVID-19 health and safety guidelines for the upcoming school year.
The education department said until those rules are announced, schools should follow recommendations from the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics. The department added that they believe students should take their classes in-person this fall.
