State AG Letitia James has announced dozens of arrests in connection with two major drug rings that operated out of CNY.

78 people were arrested for their roles in the rings, from which officials seized heroin, cocaine, guns, and nearly half a million dollars in cash. A wiretap of the first ring, otherwise known as the Pupello Group, led state officials to the second ring, known as the Flores Group.

Michael Pupello is charged with hiring 25 people to sell and distribute the drugs across CNY. Hector Flores is accused of coordinating shipments of the drugs from Puerto Rico into NY.
