Syracuse House Fire Leaves 6 Without A Place To Live

Syracuse, N.Y. - A large house fire this afternoon has left six people without a place to live.

Syracuse firefighters responded to a call a little after 12 in the 1600 block of West Onondaga Street.

Firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the building that contained two apartments.

Everyone was out of the building at the time of the fire.

It took firefighters 40 minutes to put out the blaze.

The American Red Cross is assisting six occupants.
