A new law aimed at making internet access more affordable for some New Yorkers is now being put on hold.
A judge ruled late last week that the state cannot require internet providers to offer the proposed $15/month plans for low-income residents. The ruling stated that internet providers could take a major financial hit when the law goes into effect.
