NY Students Still Need To Wear Masks To School Monday

Students and staff at schools across the state will still have to wear masks, despite new guidance from the Dept of Health.

The state Education Department says the policy is still in effect, despite the letter Friday from state Health Commissioner Doctor Howard Zucker saying the state intended to waive the mandate Monday. Officials say Zucker's letter was actually requesting guidance from the CDC regarding mask-wearing policies. Since the CDC hasn't responded to the letter, no changes will be made.
