Syracuse Wants Residents Input On East Colvin Street Project

Syracuse, N.Y. - The City of Syracuse Department of Engineering wants to hear from residents about what to do with roads, sidewalks and streetscapes on

E. Colvin Street, from Salina to Jamesville Avenue. The project, currently in the design phase, will focus on increasing mobility for pedestrians, cyclists, and enhancing the green space along the half-mile stretch. The project will be presented at a virtual meeting Tuesday.

Additional improvements will feature new Americans with Disabilities Act concrete sidewalks, ramps, and restriped crosswalks. Lawn areas and snow storage sections are proposed to be created near Garfield Avenue and the Oakwood Cemetery, between Moore Avenue and Benedict Avenue.

Detailed information about the project will be presented at Eastside Area 5 TNT virtual meeting on Tuesday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m.
