Former State Senator David Velesky Nominated For New York PSC Position

Albany, N.Y. - Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that he is nominating former state Senator David Valesky to fill an open seat on the seven-member state Public Service Commission.

If confirmed Valesky would fill one of three seats on the PSC, which regulates the state’s electric, gas, steam, telecommunications, cable, and water utilities.

Valesky represented the 53rd district in the state Senate for 14 years, before losing to Rachel May in the 2018 Democratic primary.
