New York is one step closer to having a permanent, state-owned cemetery for members of the military who made the ultimate sacrifice.
A committee has chosen Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Seneca County as their final resting place. The cemetery is located on land that used to be the home of Sampson Air Force Base and the Sampson Naval Training Station.
