Sewage Spill In Clay Dumps 8,000 Gallons Of Waste Into Oneida River

A broken pipe leaked thousands of gallons of sewage into the Oneida River.

The pipe was broken Thursday morning by an excavator working near Maider and Bonstead Rds in Clay. The DEC says about 8000 gallons of untreated sewage spilled into the river until the pipe was fixed four hours later.
