Town of Tyre, N.Y. - New York State Police have identified the man killed in a crash on the thruway yesterday.
Troopers say 32-year-old Sylvester Thomas Jr. of Rochester was driving a box truck when he failed to notice traffic slowing down due to a lane closure. He slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer.
Sylvester was pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.
