Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay Says Impeahcment Vote May Be Needed

Albany, N.Y. - Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay believes the Assembly Committee on Judiciary, who is working on the impeachment proceedings against Governor Cuomo, are dragging their heels.

Barclay says with all the alarming stories outlining misconduct have emerged almost daily, the Committee has held only two public meetings neither of which mentioned any specifics, and another meeting hasn’t even been scheduled according to Barclay.

Barclay said unless things improve regarding the pace and progress, the direct approach of an up or down vote on impeachment may be the only thing able to produce a tangible result.
