Onondaga County Planning To Vaccinate 12 To 15-Year-Olds Against COVID-19

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County officials say plans are already in the works to vaccinate kids between the ages of 12 and 15 against COVID-19.

But, the next step will depend on when the Food and Drug Administration allows the use of Pfizer vaccine for people in that age group. County Executive Ryan McMahon said yesterday when that happens, a mass vaccination clinic will be held at the Oncenter followed by clinics at individual schools. McMahon says of the 63 residents who recently tested positive for coronavirus, nine of them were in the 12 to 15-year-old age group.
