Geddes, N.Y. - Gov Cuomo announces that the Fair will happen this year!
Gov Cuomo bringing the good news to Syracuse today.
He said they will set things up a little differently having the Fair set up in 4 areas.
Cuomo said further details will be announced as the fair draws closer, but the governor said he expects, as the state's COVID numbers decrease, capacity limits at the fair will be increased.
The Fair was canceled last year due to the pandemic. It's the oldest and 3rd largest fair in the US.
In regards to the fight against COVID-19, the Governor announced the state positivity rate stands at 2.39%, he said 41 people passed away in the past 24 hours. He also announced the increase of capacity limits. Outdoor stadiums can go to 33% of capacity, offices, and casinos can go to 75% of capacity, and gyms outside NYC to 50% of capacity.
