Rome Man Sentenced In The Murder Of His Wife

Utica, N.Y. - A Rome man who was convicted of killing his wife and throwing her body in a dumpster has been sentenced.

Jason D'Avolio will serve 25 years to life for second-degree murder. He also faces time for concealment of a body.

D'Avolio was found guilty of shooting and killing his wife, Kerrilee, in 2019.

Her body was later found in a landfill. He claims his wife killed herself.
