Gov Cuomo Says 60 And Older Don't Need To Make Vaccination Appointments

Yonkers, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo announced today that beginning Friday people 60 and over won't need to make appointments to get vaccinated at a New York mass vaccination sites, like the one at the Fairgrounds.

He said people in that age group just need to show up at those facilities and they will get vaccinated.

Cuomo says there are no excuses now, not to get the vaccine. He says it's a civic duty to get a vaccine so we can reach herd immunity.

He said the state's positivity rate stands at 2.14%, the lowest since November 5th. The sad news was that 53 people died in the state in the past 24 hours.
