Five Inmates At County Jail Sent To Hospital

Jamesville, N.Y. - Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office says five inmates from the Jamesville jail, were sent to the hospital over the weekend.

Deputies say it all started when they found one inmate unresponsive in his cell. Medical staff treated the inmate, and he regained consciousness.

Additional inmates in the same housing unit were also discovered to be under the influence of something.

Authorities believe it was a synthetic cannabinoid, also known as K2 or spice.

Investigators are trying to figure out how it got into the jail.
