Syracuse Police Announce "Shotspotter" Operating Again

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police have announced that the because of funding from the American Rescue Plan, the Shotspotter service has been reinstated.

Its expected to be fully operational next week. The software uses sensors placed throughout the city to detect gunshots and direct police response to those areas.

There is discussion o expand the ShotSpotter in the coming year.
