Syracuse STEAM School Gets A 1.75 Million Dollar Donation From AMAZON

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon and Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh, sharing some good news today.

AMAZON is donating 1.75 millions dollars to the STEAM School in Syracuse.

The money is earmarked for robotics and computer science education and arts.The project could bring about 1600 jobs to the area.

The school will occupy the former Central Tech High School space.

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.

AMAZON is building two new centers in Onondaga County. A distribution center in Clay and a delivery center in Dewitt. Approximatley 1200 people are expected to be employed bewteen the two centers.
