NY-22: Brindisi's Legal Team Requests "Hand Audit" Of Oneida Co. Ballots

A judge has ordered the certification process for NY-22 to be put on hold.

Lawyers for Democrat Anthony Brindisi have asked for a hand audit of ballots in Oneida County. The hand audit could require Oneida County Board of Elections officials to complete a full recount of all ballots by hand. Legal teams for both Brindisi and Republican Claudia Tenney now need to prepare arguments as to whether a hand audit is necessary. All other counties in the 22nd district still need to submit their finalized election results to the judge by Tuesday.
