Onondaga County Looking For Proposals Regarding Shoppingtown Mall

Syracuse, N.Y. - The county has officially started the process to find someone to make Shoppingtown Mall area into something better.

County Executive Ryan McMahon has put out a request for proposals for the purchase and development of the Mall site in the Town of DeWitt. Candidates need to prove some things to the county, such as how their development will enhance the quality of life for residents and show a history of producing high-quality projects, along with other requirements.

Onondaga County Executive McMahon said,

“This is an important milestone in the efforts of my administration to turn Shoppingtown into the successful and productive site our community deserves. As we write the next chapter for this site, the community can feel confidant knowing that Onondaga County will do everything it can to make sure this property becomes something we all can be proud of again.”

Proposals are due by 4:00 pm on April 27th
