Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon Says Numbers Heading Down

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon says the county is moving in the right direction but we are still losing people to COVID 19.

McMahon announced that 4 more people died in the past 24 hours. He however said there was some very good news. The county has only 108 new cases, the lowest since the Halloween season. McMahon said the county's positivity rate is 4.7%, and there are 2690 active cases.

He said there are 158 people in the hospital which is down and again is the lowest number in the county in quite some time.

McMahon said he will speak tomorrow morning about the system he wants to set up to help Seniors register for the Vaccine.

McMahon also announced the county has received 1,000 doses of the vaccine.
