Town of Clay, N.Y. - A Liverpool Woman has been arrested for illegally possessing Assault weapons.
State Police arrested 41-year-old Billie Jo Britton after responding to a threat of suicide on Falcon Drive in the Town of Clay. When they arrived Britton had barricaded herself in a bedroom. After a while police were able to enter the room, that's when Britton jumped out the window and ran. She was caught after a short foot chase.
Troopers seized 16 long guns and 2 illegal assault weapons.
Britton faces the following charges:
- (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree (D-felony),
- Failure to Store Firearms 1st degree (A-misdemeanor)
- Resisting Arrest (A-misdemeanor).
