Syracuse Police Investigate Three Shootings Within 12 Hours, One Fatal

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse police investigating three shootings in a 12 hours period, one fatal.

Monday afternoon around 3, Officers responded to a shooting call in the 100 block of Pond St. They learned a 25-year-old male was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle after being shot in the back. He's expected to survive.

Then around 8:30, police responded to reports that a car crashed in the 300 block of Hillview Ave. Police found a 21-year-old male in the car, shot in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Then around 3:30 Tuesday morning, Officers were waved down in the 700 block of Butternut Street by a 21-year-old male who was shot in the shoulder. He's expected to survive.
