Onondaga County Vetoes Election Commissoners' Pay Cuts

Onondaga County lawmakers have vetoed a pay cut that was initially not a part of the 2021 budget proposal.

County Executive Ryan McMahon vetoed the seven-thousand-dollar pay reduction for county Board of Elections Commissioners. The amendment was added by Republican legislators at the last minute before the 2021 budget was passed Thursday. It's possible the County Legislature could override the veto when it meets again on December 17th.
